Lab-Flex In Ear Music Monitors or IM's are an even clearer way of listening as the driver/speaker are placed directly into the Earmold giving the shortest possible route for the sound to travel into your ear so as to get no interference or disturbance to the music.

Laboratory made heat cured Earmolds are not new, this is how the music industry has been producing In Ear Music Monitors for many years but what is new is that we make them ourselves in our own in-house Lab. While other companies take an impression of your ear then send them away for another manufacturer to finish them, we don't. We do it all in-house and this gives you greater control, greater options and faster turnaround times. We produce our own LabFlex heat cured premium silicone range in our own lab by using an impression of your ear and then we will make a cast of your ear and then shape an exact copy of your ear while locating the electronics into the plug and this all takes about 7 to 10 days from when we receive your impressions. The LabFlex material is a stronger more workable material allowing us to fit larger drivers if required

We do require a full set of impressions of your ears then we can produce custom Lab-Flex hearing protection for you, in house, on time and better priced.

Our Lab-Flex range is made using the finest Biopor heat cured soft silicone and is available in three densities

40 shore for great comfort, strength and general use

70 shore for the super strong material for making ear moulds with removable modules and speakers.

What is the advantage of our Lab-Flex Earmolds?

If you can’t get to us or one of our many agents to get your Insta-Mold® Earmolds made on the spot you now have the option to go to your local audiologist and have them make you up a set of full ear impressions using a soft impression material which you can then send direct to us. *extra cost of ear impression may apply.

You can then download the LabFlex order form, chose the style of plug required, colour combination. Post them to us with the order form and we do the rest for you and post it back to you in 10 to 15 business days.

The Biopor soft silicone in a full shell Earmold has a SNR25 rating with 34.8db of protection at 4000hz giving you protection where needed. Please note once electronics are fitted the protection range will drop due to conduction through the cable by about 10%. No Electronic in Ear Music Monitor has been tested to the Australia Standards, as you are adding sound they cannot then be tested to be rated.

As the material is easier to work with we can also fit just about any form of electronics into the Earmold during the setting process which gives the wearer greater comfort

Impressions of your ears are required by us to work from, this can be done via Earmold Australia, an authorised agent or a trained Audiologist.
